Well. It pays to have a wild hair up your butt!
A few weeks ago I reached out to the local newspaper paper in #Fullerton (#fullertonnewstribune) to see if there was any mention of my mom Sherri Lipman appearance on the television game show #Jeopardy in 1969-70.
Mom was a one day champion on the show with host Art Fleming and emcee Don Pado. She ended up winning $500, which she ended up putting into a refrigerator which lasted in their home for about 40 years!
I remember we conned my third grade teacher who was an #ORT colleague of Mom’s, Lois Entin, to drag a television set into the classroom so that we could watch my Mom on TV. No DVR’S back then, so if you snoozed you lost! We ended up seeing Mom on TV! 藍
All good so far?
Sadly, there was no mention of her appearance in the newspaper.
However, the newspaper archivist did mention that she found a whole bunch of Letters to the Editor that Mom had written over the years to the #LosAngelesTimes on a whole variety of subjects. They’re attached, here!
What a trip down memory lane it was to read these!
Follow those wild hairs! You never know where they will lead!

What a treasure trove of all her letters! Glad you found them.RipuSent from my iPad, please pardon iTypos and tersenessOn Aug 21, 2026,
